NASCAR’s First Israeli Driver to Compete in NASCAR Camping World Truck Series

SARASOTA, FLORIDA –  History will be made on September 24 when Israeli native Alon Day will drive for Contreras Motorsports in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Loudon, New Hampshire.  Day will be the first Israeli to race in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. He will be driving the #71 FLwaterfront.com Chevy Silverado for Contreras Motorsports, which made history on its own earlier this year as the first and only Hispanic and Mexican owned NCWTS team.

Beware of Freeboard

In the context of minimum flood elevation requirements, “Freeboard” is an additional height above the FEMA mandated minimum elevation in flood prone areas to afford an extra measure of protection from storm surge and flooding. While the term sounds beneficial, it must be noted that “freeboard ain’t free.” It comes with a penalty to existing and prospective owners of property located in FEMA “A” and “V” Zones.
